This domain has its mail hosted at Google, courtesy of [GMail for your domain](https://www.google.com/hosted).

25 accounts, 2GB of space each, the GMail interface. POP/SMTP access, just a pity they don’t support IMAP which would be great considering all that space.

Anyway, it was funny to see this on their admin page, regarding the DNS configuration.

My .Mac Mini

Apple, Life — Pedro Cardoso on July 11, 2006 at 12:30 pm

At a time Rui Carmo goes through .Mac, here I am enjoying my fastmail.fm account.

Once upon a time I decided my email needed to go IMAP, so considering all the options, I settled on Fastmail. IMAP4, decent storage (600mb, more than enough if I redirect all those “funny” videos to Gmail) and some niceties like a notebook, public web space and DAV access.

I took advantage of a promotional offer and registered for 2 years, and it was the best 30 euro I’ve spent in months.

Little earthquakes

Seismac is a little neat application that shows the sudden motion sensor data on the newer powerbooks and macbooks as seismograph.

This is what comes out of it while in a Alfa Pendular train at 220km/h.
Seismac

Doing it again while at the older tracks, closer to Lisbon (where the train tops at 70 or 80 km/h) will show a much bumpier ride. But then, I will need to do it while departing from Lisbon, not arriving, as my Powerbooks battery is seriously lacking in stamina.
