The UPS can only supply switching devices (such as your PC power supply and your monitor). Normal transformers will start to heat or simply be destroyed with that kind of supply. However If your cable modem/router have switching supplys (instead of a normal and heavy transformer) you're ok. Don’t hack the UPS outputs for supplying other kinds of devices.
